Ten years ago our founder, Matt, discovered his passion for wood-working. He originally started honing his craft with painting and sculpture, but felt drawn to wood as a medium for artistic expression that is used in everyday life. At Luca J, every customized creation is crafted with intention and collaboration to best fit your vision and space.

Meet the family behind the furniture. Matt and Kathy Buensuceso are based in Dallas, TX, raising their three kids, Luke, Lourdes and Lorenzo. The nickname for their oldest son Luke Joseph, "Luca J.", comes from Matt's Italian background and has become the namesake of his woodworking company.
